RSA Authentication Manager

RSA Authentication Manager can send on-demand tokencodes by SMS through Wire2Air. When a user authenticates with a username and on-demand PIN, Authentication Manager sends the tokencode and mobile number to Wire2Air, which delivers it to the user's phone. The user then enters the tokencode at the agent's prompt.

The integration uses the HTTP API's send SMS endpoint. It works over HTTP and HTTPS; use HTTPS.

Before you start

You need your Wire2Air user ID, password, VASID and short code. Find the VASID and the sender number (short code) in the dashboard under Manage Account → API Information.

Configure the plug-in

Open the SMS HTTP plug-in settings in Authentication Manager's Security Console. The page has three sections.

Tokencode delivery by SMS

1. Select Delivery by SMS to enable on-demand tokencodes by SMS.
2. Choose the User Attribute to Provide SMS Destination.
3. Optionally choose a Default country code.
4. Select HTTP in the SMS Plug-In list.

SMS provider configuration

1. In Base URL, enter:

   https://msgapi.wire2air.com/smsapi/submitsm.aspx
   

2. Because the base URL is HTTPS, select Import Certificate and install the server's certificate if Authentication Manager asks for it.
3. In Parameters, enter the line below on one line, replacing YOUR_VASID and YOUR_SHORTCODE with your values:

   vasid=YOUR_VASID&from=YOUR_SHORTCODE&userid=$cfg.user&password=$cfg.password&to=$msg.address&text=$msg.message
   

4. Enter your Wire2Air user ID as the account user name, and your Wire2Air password.
5. In Success Response Code, enter:

   JOBID
   

SMS HTTP proxy configuration (optional)

Enter your proxy server's settings if Authentication Manager reaches the internet through one.

Select Update to save the configuration.
