2026-10-06: documentation rewritten

The developer docs moved from the old WordPress pages to this site. No API changed. Old URLs redirect to the matching new page.

Corrected:

  • Code samples. Every sample was rewritten and checked: the PHP sample had a syntax error and turned off TLS certificate checks, the Python sample used Python 2 and a reserved word, the C# sample lost the & between parameters, and the ASP samples used typographic quotes. Samples now cover cURL, Python 3, Node, PHP and C#, send credentials in the request body or header rather than the URL, and keep TLS verification on.
  • JSON examples no longer contain typographic quotes, so they parse when copied.
  • Message length table. GSM totals for 5 and 6 parts are 765 and 918 characters (previously 965 and 718). The GSM 03.38 table now shows all 128 characters.
  • HTTPS. Endpoints on mzone.wire2air.com and smsapi.wire2air.com are shown with https://. The two endpoints that cannot use HTTPS yet (send MMS, carrier lookup) carry a warning.
  • Scheduling example. The EST to UTC conversion in the old DeliveryDateTime example was wrong.
  • RSA guide. The plug-in parameters string is one line again.
  • Structure. One endpoint per page; webhooks have their own section; the three kinds of credentials are explained on one page; HTTP API error codes are collected in one table.

Statements that could not be confirmed from the old documentation are marked "Pending engineering confirmation" on the page where they apply.
